Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal information Epic IT Support, Inc. collects through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It covers this website only — information handled during a client engagement is governed by the master services agreement and any applicable confidentiality or business associate agreement.

What we collect

We collect only what you choose to send us. If you submit the contact form, that is your name, company, email address, telephone number, the audience and interest options you select, and whatever you write in the message field.

Our web host records standard server logs — IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamp — as a normal part of serving and protecting the site.

What we do not do

• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing.
• We do not run advertising trackers on this site, and our analytics data is not used to build advertising audiences or to personalize ads.
• We do not track you across other websites. The analytics cookies described below are first-party and are not readable by any other site.
• We do not add you to a marketing mailing list because you submitted an inquiry.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets two cookies. Both are first-party, both exist only to count and describe visits, and neither is used for advertising:

• _ga and _ga_32X3PY2QET — set by Google Analytics to tell one browser apart from another so that a repeat visit is not counted as a new person. They contain a randomly generated identifier, not your name or address, and they expire thirteen months after your most recent visit.

Your browser may also store your light or dark theme preference on your own device. That is not a cookie, is never transmitted to us, and has nothing to do with analytics.

We use two analytics services. Google Analytics records the page visited, the site or search that referred you, general device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address — which Google does not retain. We have disabled Google Signals and ad personalization on the property, so this data is not joined to your activity on other sites and is not used to build advertising audiences. Cloudflare Web Analytics runs alongside it and is cookieless by design: it does not fingerprint your device, does not track you across other websites, and builds no profile of you.

We run both because content blockers stop Google Analytics far more often than they stop the Cloudflare beacon, and comparing the two tells us how much traffic we are not seeing. Neither service identifies you individually, and we cannot use either to do so.

If you would rather not be counted at all, any content or script blocker will stop both, as will Google's official Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Nothing on this site behaves differently if you block them.

How we use your information

Contact form submissions are used to respond to your inquiry and, if it leads to an engagement, to carry out the resulting work. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to a business inquiry you initiated, and, where an engagement follows, the performance of a contract.

Who processes it

This website is hosted by Netlify, which processes form submissions and server logs on our behalf as a service provider. Cloudflare provides content delivery and the cookieless analytics described above. Google provides Google Analytics and processes the measurement data described above in the United States. Email correspondence is handled through our business email provider. These providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

Contact inquiries that do not lead to an engagement are retained for up to twenty-four months and then deleted. Records relating to an engagement are retained in line with the contract and applicable legal and tax obligations.

Google Analytics data is set to expire fourteen months after it is collected. Cloudflare Web Analytics holds only aggregate counts, which are not tied to you in the first place.

Your choices

You may ask us to provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is inaccurate, or delete it. Email ask@epicit.support and we will respond within thirty days. There is no charge, and asking will not affect any service you receive.

Security

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS with strict transport security and a restrictive content security policy. Form submissions are transmitted encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, but we apply to our own infrastructure the same controls we recommend to clients.

Children

This site is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under sixteen.

Changes

If this notice changes materially we will update the effective date above. Where the change affects how we use information already collected, we will contact affected individuals directly.
