Managed IT services for Savannah businesses
Epic IT Support is a veteran-owned managed IT and security provider based in Savannah, serving businesses across coastal Georgia and the Lowcountry. We run the day-to-day — help desk, patching, monitoring, backup — and keep the harder infrastructure work in house instead of subcontracting it.
- Based in Savannah, onsite across coastal Georgia and the Lowcountry
- Senior engineers only — no tier-one bench, no offshore hand-off
- Written scope and coverage window before any monthly number
- CMMC and NIST 800-171 readiness for defense suppliers
- Co-managed alongside your existing IT person is fine
- Staffed 7am–6pm Monday to Friday, with escalation beyond it
What we deliver
The day-to-day, run properly
Help desk, patching, monitoring and backup for Savannah offices — with the same senior engineers on the phone who designed the environment.
- Help desk by phone, email, and portal within a written coverage window
- Patch management on a schedule, with tested rollback and maintenance windows
- Backup verification that proves a restore works, not just that a job ran green
- Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration, including licensing right-sizing
- Firewall, switch, and wireless administration with firmware kept current
- Documentation maintained as a deliverable so you are never locked in
Security and compliance, for the industries actually here
Coastal Georgia is a defense, port, and hospitality economy. Those three carry compliance obligations that generic managed IT does not touch.
- CMMC and NIST 800-171 readiness for defense and aerospace suppliers — gap assessment, System Security Plan, POA&M, and remediation engineering
- Managed detection and response, monitored around the clock by the security operations center of our vendor partner and tuned by our engineers
- PCI segmentation for hospitality — guest wireless separated from property management and point-of-sale, and proven to be separated
- HIPAA-aligned access control, retention, and backup for private practices
- Penetration testing and vulnerability management under written authorization
Onsite when it genuinely needs hands
Most work is faster remote. Some is not — a failed switch, a cutover weekend, a new suite that needs cabling and access points. Those we drive to.
- Scheduled onsite work for cutovers, refreshes, and office moves
- Onsite response for outages that cannot be cleared remotely
- New-site build-outs — a growing share of this around the Bryan County plant
- Hardware staged, configured, and installed rather than drop-shipped to you
- Coverage across Savannah, GA, Pooler, GA, Garden City, GA, Richmond Hill, GA, and the rest of the areas listed below
Where we tend to fit best
Not a set of rules — the shape of the environment matters more than the size of the company. If you recognize your business here, the conversation usually goes somewhere.
- Teams of roughly ten people and up, though it is worth asking either way
- A business where a day of downtime has a real number attached to it
- Regulated or contractually obligated work — defense, healthcare, finance, card payments
- Environments with Linux, virtualization, or cloud that a general help desk keeps escalating
- Growing fast enough that IT decisions made two years ago are now in the way
- What we are not: consumer computer repair, home users, or single-machine break-fix

How it runs
From first call to sign-off
Every engagement is governed by a written statement of work naming deliverables, assumptions, and who is responsible for what.
-
A walk-through, not a questionnaire
We come to your office and look at what is actually racked, cabled, and running — including the things nobody documented and the server everyone is afraid to reboot.
-
Findings you keep
A written inventory of what exists, what is unsupported, what is exposed, and what is one failure away from stopping work. It is yours whether or not you hire us.
-
A number, with the scope attached
A monthly figure tied to a written coverage window and a named list of what is included, plus urgent remediation quoted separately so it is never buried in the recurring fee.
-
Transition, then steady state
Monitoring, patching, and backup brought under management with the urgent items cleared first, then quarterly reviews covering risk, spend, incidents, and roadmap.
Questions
What people ask
Managed IT services for Savannah businesses — questions
Do you provide onsite IT support in Savannah, or is everything remote?
Both. Day-to-day support is remote because it is faster — nobody wants to wait half a day for someone to drive over and do something that takes four minutes on a screen share. Cutovers, hardware failures, cabling, office moves, and new-site build-outs are onsite, scheduled in advance where possible and same-day for outages that cannot be cleared remotely.
Which areas around Savannah do you cover?
Savannah and the surrounding coastal Georgia and Lowcountry area: Savannah, GA, Pooler, GA, Garden City, GA, Richmond Hill, GA, Rincon, GA, Hinesville, GA, Statesboro, GA, Bluffton, SC, Hilton Head Island, SC. If you are outside that radius, remote support still works normally — we deliver to clients across the United States — but plan on scheduled rather than same-day onsite visits.
What size business do you usually work with?
Most of our managed clients are somewhere from ten people upward, but that is an observation rather than a rule — what actually decides it is the environment. A six-person engineering firm running Linux and a compliance obligation is a better fit than a forty-person office that needs nothing but Microsoft 365 and a printer that works. Call and describe what you have; if a monthly agreement genuinely is not the right shape for you, we will say so and point you at what is.
We are a defense supplier. Can you get us CMMC certified?
No, and neither can any other IT provider — certification is issued by an accredited third-party assessor, not by your MSP. What we do is readiness: a gap assessment against NIST 800-171, a System Security Plan, a POA&M, and the remediation engineering to close the gaps before an assessor arrives. Given how much of the supply chain around Fort Stewart, Hunter Army Airfield, and the local aerospace manufacturers now carries these obligations, it is the work we are asked for most.
Do we have to replace our current IT provider to talk to you?
No. A co-managed arrangement is common and often the better answer — your existing provider or internal person keeps the relationships and the institutional knowledge, and we bring the specialist depth in Linux, cloud, security, and disaster recovery. We are explicitly comfortable being the second team rather than demanding to be the only one.
What makes you different from the other Savannah IT companies?
Two things, honestly stated. The engineers are senior — the person scoping your work is the person doing it, with no tier-one bench and no hand-off to somebody learning on your account. And the harder infrastructure stays in house: Linux estates, VMware exits, identity migrations, immutable backup architecture, and penetration testing are things most providers this size subcontract. If your environment is entirely Windows desktops and a single file server, several good local firms can serve you well and we will say so.
